My Top 5 Holiday Lipsticks (And 3 Lip Glosses)! – Blogmas Day 6

Hey everyone! Today I thought I’d share my 5 favorite lipsticks for this time of year! I’m also throwing in 3 lip glosses as well since I really love them too.

Here we go!

Going from left to right I have:

Bobbi Brown in Lilac

This lipstick is described as light pink on the Bobbi Brown website but I would say it’s a nice nudey-purple that is really one of my year round favorites. It is a mostly matte and can be a bit drying so I always apply lip balm before wearing this lipstick. It’s a very easy lipstick to apply though so it’s good for on the go!

Kate Moss Rimmel in 107

Like many others, I discovered this lipstick through the YouTuber Zoella, and had to have it! It is a dark, dark wine red lipstick with pink undertones. I love it and it is very, very long lasting. I put this on in the morning and didn’t have to reapply it all day while out shopping with my mom. It’s amazing!

Burberry Military Red

This is the most amazing red lipstick that I almost didn’t buy as the lady at the Burberry counter thought they were sold out of this shade. It is a beautiful perfect red that would look great on anyone. I recommend this one and do recommend lip liner with this one.

Lorac CEO

This is one of the lipsticks I bought without having heard anyone rave about it before. The moment I swatched it, I had to have it. It is described as a dusty rose, which I would agree with. It’s very matte and very long wearing as well. I really like it although it did dry my lips out at the end of the day, I didn’t have to reapply and looked great until about hour 8 of wear.

Besame in Red Velvet

Another all time favorite for me, this is the Agent Peggy Carter lipstick! Hayley Atwell would wear this lipstick as Peggy for the (now cancelled) tv show Agent Carter. This is a beautiful semi-matte deep red meant to look like a lipstick you would have encountered in the 1940’s, the time when Peggy’s story is set. Another long lasting color, it is so beautiful and flattering for everyone.

Revlon Colorstay Parisian Passion

This is one of the very good shades of this line from Revlon. It is a deep purple-y red shade that I have had for awhile, so I should probably replace it… I love the shape of the applicator and the color does apply well but it can take a bit of work to get it evenly applied. Once it dries, the color looks amazing and it is a stain so it’ll last even after the product itself has gone.

Burberry Ruby

This lip gloss applies quite evenly and smoothly. It is red, but a little on the lighter side of red. It can transfer easily until it dries thoroughly but it is pretty good overall. It does have a bit of a blue base so it is harder for me to pull off but it is a beautiful shade.

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in Rebel Red

This is also a lighter red with pink undertones that is easy to wear. It isn’t a true matte, it does go on shiny and dries down to a semi-matte finish but it is smooth and doesn’t dry out your lips.
