Hey everyone! I wanted to find a Christmas themed tag to do later in the month but everyone’s been doing their tags lately so I thought I’d join in. There are quite a few versions out there so I looked up a few and picked my favorite questions from them. So without further ado, here’s my Christmas Tag!

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Christmas?

I love the anticipation of it. You’re waiting to see everyone’s reactions when they open their gifts, for the music to start on the radio, stores to decorate, Christmas markets, and more!

Q: What’s your favorite makeup look for the festive season?

I’ll be doing a whole post on this later! I love looks with red lips, shimmer, and dramatic lashes of course!

Q: Real tree or fake tree?

Fake! I think it would be nice to have a real tree if it didn’t die and become a huge fire hazard but I’ve only had fake trees so I don’t really know how to properly compare the two. Still I have three fake trees that my family rotates through (at my preference as I’m the self-proclaimed head of the home Christmas decor committee) and it’s great.

Q: Giving or receiving presents?

I love presents so receiving is nice but honestly I love getting people thoughtful gifts. As I’ve gotten older I tend to get my parents and sister things they ask for but I generally try to throw in a little something I know they’ll appreciate. This year I got my mom and sister tickets to see Hamilton with me so I told them that was part of their present though so this was an expensive Christmas already…

Q: Stocking or more presents?

I’ll go with more presents. We don’t do stockings and I don’t feel like I’m missing out at all!

Q: Do you open you presents Christmas morning or evening?

We open presents on Christmas Day at midnight. Yes, we stay up and open gifts at midnight and then go to bed. It’s fun!

Q: What’s your favorite Christmas films?

Harry Potter! Not specifically Christmas films but we watch them during the Christmas season as a family so for me they are strongly tied to Christmas.

Q: Have you ever had a White Christmas?

All the time. I live in northern Illinois so we have regularly had snow on Christmas. In fact, it’s the first snowfall of the year today!

I don’t like snow on Christmas though as my dad plows snow as part of his job so that means instead of warm and safe at home he’s out in the cold trying to clear the way for everyone else to go home to their families. And since it’s so dangerous due to reckless/drunk/crazy drivers, we’re just constantly worried about him. Sigh. Still, it really doesn’t feel like Christmas without snow, oddly enough.

Q: Where do you usually spend your holiday?

Home! Where it’s nice and warm!

Q: Where is your dream place to spend Christmas?

Disney World! I think it would be weird to spend Christmas somewhere warm but DISNEY. But I suppose I’d take Cancun too!
