Hey everyone! I have quite a bit of product empties as well as some very disappointing products. I’ve been saving this, well, um, trash, for some time and I’m excited to write this post so I can finally throw all this stuff away! Some of these products I’ve already repurchased or I hated so much I’ll never purchase them again.
Here we go!
First up is this Estee Lauder Sumptuous Infinite mascara. Personally I liked this mascara but I think it is very light coating for lashes so it’s definitely more of an “every day” mascara rather than a “night out” mascara. This isn’t technically an empty actually, it’s really just dried out. I won’t repurchase this as I have tons and tons of other mascaras but I enjoyed it while I had it.
This product I just couldn’t stand. The Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil, which I understand was a huge hit when it came out, smells absolutely horrendous to me. I remember I tried it once, applying it after washing my face, and immediately had to wash my face again to get it off. Since there was so much hype I had been very excited to try it but I was very disappointed once I got and tried this sample.
Another disappointing product is this Botanics Lip Balm. I liked it just fine but I classify it as a disappointing product because I don’t think it actually helped my lips. It smells pretty good though, and did feel smooth but I didn’t notice any lasting effects.
This Estee Lauder DayWear BB Creme sample was one of my favorite BB creams that I’ve tried! I did intend to purchase a full size of this item but I just never got around to it. I loved the lightweight of this cream and loved that it had SPF in it as well.
The next product empty is The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Eye Cream. I would classify this as a disappointing product as well. I didn’t particularly dislike it but I didn’t really like it, much like the lip balm from Botanics from earlier. I didn’t think it did anything in the long run so I won’t be repurchasing it.
I really liked these First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, that were meant to exfoliate your skin, when I was using them. Since using these up I’ve used other exfoliators and I really don’t like these in hindsight. Won’t be repurchasing!
If you’ve been following me for awhile you know I’ve already repurchased this product and yes, I’m halfway done through my second one already! My most favorite primer, Maybelline Master Prime is amazing and it’s my go-to primer. I picked this one for my Ride or Die Makeup Tag that you can read here!
This is a disappointing product for me. The Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray made my hair feel very greasy and didn’t seem to help any with heat protection. Tresemme products and my hair don’t generally get along, so I will not be repurchasing this or any other Tresemme products.
This is my favorite toner. This is the Body Shop Calming Toner from their Aloe Vera line. I really love this toner but I likely won’t be repurchasing this toner. The main reason why is because the closest Body Shop to me closed and I don’t want to drive farther away to get this one item. Plus I do want to try more drugstore skin care items so if you have toner recommendations let me know!
I also have this Botanics Skin Calming Night Creme that is an empty for me. I liked this night cream and I might repurchase this when my current night cream runs out. It was very smooth and didn’t irritate my skin at all, which I love as I can have somewhat sensitive skin.
I loved this NYX Matte Finish Fini Mat Setting Spray and I didn’t repurchase this because I wanted to try other sprays. I have found another spray since that I like just as much as this one but it’s really good and very travel friendly!
While I did use up this BareMinerals Facial Cleanser I actually didn’t really like it. I did not care for the smell of this item at all. I wouldn’t necessarily call this a disappointing product however, mostly because of the fact that I don’t expect much from BareMinerals products as I haven’t had much luck with their skin care.
Another setting spray I used up was this Wet n Wild Photofocus setting spray. I would also say this is a disappoint product as I went out to get it after seeing one of my favorite youtubers rave about this spray. I didn’t really like it so I will not be repurchasing this.
I’m on my third jar of this moisturizer… The Estee Lauder DayWear is my favorite moisturizer! I plan to repurchase when I run out. I love the smell as it smells of cucumbers and is so nice to smell in the morning.
I have finished my jar of the Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Night moisturizer. While I liked it, I didn’t like it to the same degree as the DayWear so I will not be repurchasing this and I’ve already found another night moisturizer that I like better. I wouldn’t say this is a disappointing product though as I did like it a lot, it just wasn’t the best out there.
