My Harry Potter Bookshelf!

Hello everyone! A little bit ago I promised a tour of my bookshelves but they’re still not ready for a full post. Instead I decided I’d do a post on my favorite shelf, my Harry Potter shelf!

If you don’t know, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling is my favorite of all series. So I have dedicated one shelf just for Harry.

On the far left I’ve started my books, the originals in order. The first book is in paperback, that I bought from a school order form when my third grade teacher started reading the series to the class. Then you might notice that I have two copies of the third book. I bought a newer book years ago because that’s my favorite book and I read it so much that I actually broke the spine of the book. At the very end I put in the “eighth” book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. (My review of this book can be found here.)

Next to the books is a stack of Potter/Rowling related books. Starting from the bottom of the stack, The Causal Vacancy by J.K. Rowling is also on this shelf because it’s by the same author.

Next is my Harry Potter books from foreign countries. First is the sixth book in the series but it is the Mexican version of the book that my mother bought for me a few years ago as a present during one of her visits to see her family. Then it’s followed by the Spanish copy of the third book, which I got while studying abroad in Spain, and a copy of the third book from England, which a college classmate got for me during a study abroad session of their own.

And lastly I have a copy of Harry Potter and History by Nancy Reagin. (Short review of this book found here in my January Wrap Up.)

And to top it off I have a Hedwig backpack that my sister and I have had for years but she recently found and snuck onto the shelf. I also have a metal bookmark with the Hogwarts emblem on it as well.

Off to the right I have a non-Harry Potter postcard framed up of a Barcelona market. To me it does have some meaning as I wrote papers on Harry Potter for my psychology class aboard. I plan to get some sort of Potter art someday for this shelf but for now I’ll keep this one up.

And that’s my shelf! As you can see I don’t have a huge collection but I love it very much. Writing this post makes me want to reread the series so I may just have to! Let me know where you keep your Potter books below!

Thanks for reading!
