Hey everyone! I’m going to list a few books/series that I want to reread either this year or next. Right now I’m getting tons of books that I’ve never read before from the local public library but some books that I own need some love and attention. Here we go!
(All photos from Goodreads and Google Images.)
The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Of course, I would never tire of rereading this series. I do actually hope to reread them this winter as it has been awhile since the last reread I did of the Harry Potter books. I miss them in my life!
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
I loved this book so much that I want to take this adventure again. I remember at the time when I first read it I was trying to rush through it to get to the end to know what happens so I’m sure I’ll enjoy it a lot more when I read it more slowly and take it in a lot more. Even though I was rushing the first time, the circus imagery was amazing so I want to see that all again.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I want to reread the Book Thief although I do have a good recollection of this one. I read this one fairly recently but I would like to revisit it and even watch the movie afterwards as well. I had given it 5 stars on Goodreads and I’m pretty sure that the rating wouldn’t change.
Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom
This is a book I read in school (high school actually) that I just don’t really remember. I rated it as 4 stars on Goodreads but I’d love to reread it and refresh my memory as well as see if I’d still give it 4 stars.
The ACOTAR Series by Sarah J. Maas
I literally just finished A Court of Thrones and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury and already I want to read them again. They are just amazing and magical!
Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
This book is actually very special to me. I read this book while I did my study abroad semester in Barcelona, Spain, which is also where this book is set. It’s a mystery book with elements of fantasy yet set in a realistic Barcelona. One of my best memories of Barcelona is sitting on a stone wall in a little local park overlooking the city and reading this book as the sun set in front of me. I loved this book so much and I can’t wait to read it again!
Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans
One of my favorite childhood books, Madeline! I remember reading this again, or rather forcing my mother to read it to me at the library, after coming home after my semester abroad when I also visited Paris during spring break. I really just need to buy my own copy of this book because it’s just so beautiful and brings back good memories.
A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket
Yup, this series also makes the list! It’s getting more attention now as Netflix plans to make it a series (which I will watch) but I want to reread the books. I don’t own all of them so I’ll need to take a trip to the library but I do own the last three I believe. My favorite books are when the Quagmire triplets appear, I do remember that much!
Howard’s End by E.M. Forster
I definitely want to reread this one as I read it as an assignment during one of my summer English college courses but I really don’t remember it any longer. I gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads and I honestly don’t remember why so I really need to revisit this one.
The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
I loved this book a lot when I read it and I do want to read it again before the movie comes out (although I think that’ll be awhile). I didn’t rate it on Goodreads when I added it to my read books shelf but I know I would have rated it 5 stars and likely will again.
Divergent by Veronica Roth
I gave this book 5 stars when I added it on Goodreads a while back and saw the movie last week but I’d love to read this book again and actually finish the series this time. I think I only read the first book and either part of the second or just the Wikipedia entry of the second. I don’t think I ever picked up the third book in the series. I’d like to read this one at least again and maybe try Four as well.
So those are the books I’d like to reread! I have more as well but these are the ones I want to prioritize. Others on my list were ones that I also read in school and rated three stars or lower. Since I didn’t enjoy them before I’m not too excited to read them so I didn’t really want to add them because of it. However, I’m sure I’ll give them a chance at some point too.
Let me know if you have any books you want to reread. I’d love to know!
Thanks for reading!
