Hey everyone, so today I’ll be going over some of my product empties. I have a lot more than I thought I did (I also put it off thinking I didn’t have anything) so here goes!
My first empty is the Body Shop Aloe Vera Calming Toner and Seaweed Clarifying Toner. I actually had bought the seaweed toner first and loved it so much that I repurchased it. I don’t know if the formula was changed during that time though because my second bottle did not work as well for me as the first. My skin just did not like it. I stopped using it and bought the aloe vera toner instead. So far so good! I have already repurchased the aloe vera toner which is vegan and paraben free. This one is also specifically meant for sensitive skin as well so that may have something to do with it.
I talked a bit about this toner in my 2015 Skin Care Favorites and while I still really love it I don’t think I’ll repurchase it again. I do like it but I feel like it takes two cotton pads before I feel like it finished getting everything off my face. Also the closest Body Shop store to me has closed and I really dislike ordering beauty products and having them shipped to my house because no one ever answers the door and the products are left sitting out on the front porch all day until I come home. I know, first world problems. So I’m going to look for a drugstore toner so if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to leave them below!
My next empty is the Lush Charity Pot lotion. I did mention this one before as well in my January Favorites. I really loved this one and do plan to repurchase it next time I go to Lush, which won’t be for awhile because I don’t have one very close to me but I loved that this lotion always hydrated without the greasy, icky feeling most lotions seem to have. The scent was also not overpowering and it is also vegan and is not tested on animals, which is a plus.
One item I finished and have not talked about on this blog before is the Benefit Porefessional. I liked it when I first purchased it but now I feel like I’ve found much better items and won’t be repurchasing this one. For me it feels a bit greasy and slippery on my face.
Another Benefit item is the Big Easy BB Cream in 5 beige. I had actually repurchased this item once before but I won’t be doing so again. Benefit does seem to be the brand for me as I feel like it also doesn’t fit well with my skin. I used to really enjoy this BB cream before but now I feel like it’s not the right color fit, it doesn’t stay in place, and is just not a product I’ll buy again.
I’ve also used up my Neutrogena Make Up Remover Facial Wipes. I’ve repurchased these as well since I use them at the end of the day to get any remaining make up off my face after my cleanser and on no make up days. I don’t go through them too quickly but I still buy the value pack of two so I always seem to have some extras around.
A product I finished and will not be repurchasing is the First Aid Beauty Exfoliating Pads. I didn’t feel like these did anything so I will not be repurchasing. While I did like them a lot before, now that I use more traditional exfoliating products I don’t find this as useful anymore.
I also finally used up my Arrow Mattick Sandalwood Vanilla Vegan Soap, which is a shame because I loved it a lot. Next time I see an Arrow Mattick stand I’m going to stock up on soaps!
I love the Estee Lauder Daywear Moisturizer so when I ran out and I had already repurchased this product. I cannot live without my Daywear! I won’t go too much into this one since I’ve already mentioned it a million times on this blog (here and here) but I love that it has SPF and a lovely light cucumber smell.
I am not quite finished with a package of soap samplers from Aromatherapy Herbal Soap Plantlife. It came with six different soaps: Cassia Clove, Lavender, Ginger Berry, Peppermint, Patchouli, and Lemongrass. I didn’t feel like they smelled that great or lasted very long. Granted, they are samplers so they are quite small but I was still disappointed in these. I see these soaps a lot at places like TJ Maxx but I will not be purchasing the full sizes.
I also ran out of my last Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter and my Philosophy Loveswept Lotion. (Included in my evening skincare routine.) I have recently discovered that Ulta does carry the Body Butters so when I run out of the giant lotion bottle I bought recently (check out my previous haul) then I’ll likely run out for one of these. I will not be repurchasing Philosophy lotions as I felt that they had a little bit too much perfume for my liking.
I’ve already repurchased the Softsoap Peony & Plum Liquid Hand Soap as well. I really love this scent and the bottle is so pretty too!
I am just about done with the Herbal Essences Body Envy Shampoo. Although I love the scent I don’t like the formula as much as I thought I would.
I’ve hit pan on my Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Powder in 230 Natural Buff. I have not yet bought a new one but I definitely will in my next Target run!
And those are my product empties! Next time I won’t put them off for too long. I had other empties but it’s been such a long time that I’ve either forgotten about them or don’t have pictures of them anymore. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know what you’ve used up lately.
