Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since my last review post so I thought it was time to review another product. Today I’ll be talking about the Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able Foundation.
I had previously mentioned this foundation in my November Favorites post. I bought this foundation on the recommendation of a good friend (shout out to Diana!) from Sephora. This is in the shade 54 Honey Medium which is described as deep w/ pink undertones.
All of the points I made in my November Favorites does still ring true. It is a light weight foundation that does provide full coverage and flawless finish.
Since that post I’ve also come to realize how long lasting it is. I don’t find myself worried about how my foundation looks at the end of the day. Normally I do use this foundation on days when I’m going to the city for the day, special events I’m attending, or days when I just want to wear something special.
I also don’t have to worry about oiliness as much as well with this foundation. I have read reviews on this foundation from people with dry skin and they have not liked the foundation as much so this formula is better with combination and oily skin.
You really don’t need to use too much product for this to look good. Really only a dot or two and you have a really good coverage but it’s easy to build up as well. Even when you use more product you don’t get a cakey look, it just looks smooth and clean.
The downsides to this product do include the price. It is $55 per bottle and is a high end product. I also don’t like the bottle design as much. I’ve read reviews that have said it’s a messy bottle. I don’t think it’s very messy but to get the product you have to take the cap off, unscrew the top portion and the product is applied by using the end of the tube that dips into the foundation to get dots of product. I always dot the foundation onto the back of my hand, however I would prefer to have a pump as that would be more hygienic.
I think I would repurchase this foundation as I do really like it although maybe not right away. I would like to try and test a different high end foundation after finishing this bottle as I know there are many other foundations out there. Since I’ve heard of so many that are good so I’d like to switch it up.
So that’s my thoughts on the Re(Marc)able Foundation by Marc Jacobs! Let me know if you’ve tried this foundation and if so what you thought.
Thanks for reading!
