My Everyday Make Up Routine!

Hello everyone, I hope everyone had a lovely International Women’s Day yesterday! I know I was beyond thrilled when I opened YouTube to see a flood of videos celebrating the day and the Instagram pictures and all the articles being shared on Facebook, etc. With that said, back to make up!

Today’s post is all about my everyday make up routine! Since I work about an hour from my house and hate to be in a rush I always do my make up at my desk before the start of the day. I work traditional office hours so I love getting to work early as I get to avoid a lot of the morning traffic. I do my skin care at home and I try to stick to the essentials so I’m not carrying a ton of make up around. So here’s a look at my everyday make up bag!

First up is my primer and foundation. For my primer I use the Maybelline Master Prime in the 100 Blur and Smooth version. Right now I’m using the Maybelline Fit Me foundation in 230 Natural Buff (all Fit Me items mentioned in this post have been reviewed here). I use the matte and poreless formula. If you’ve been following me for at least a month you’ll know I’m obsessed with the Fit Me line and won’t be the least bit surprised. I use my Urban Decay Optical Blurring brush for my foundation, which is basically my favorite brush.

I have an oily t-zone so to top it off I use the Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder in 230 Natural Beige. Sometimes I’ll use the Besame Brightening Vanilla Powder as well (Besame powder mentioned here). For both powders I use my Bare Minerals Flawless Face brush. I keep these both on my desk during the day as I do feel I have to

For my concealer I use the Maybelline Fit Me in 20 Sand. I use it too often though, just as needed. I use the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Setting Spray once finished. I just recently bought this spray so I’m still making up my mind as to how much I like it but it is part of my routine right now so I’m including it as well.

After this I move onto eyes while I let the setting spray dry. I am right now using the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Eyeliner in 005 Nude. This is another new product that I bought in hopes that it will make me look more awake. So far it seems to be working but I’m still making up my mind on this one as well. I use the Covergirl Supersizer mascara in their waterproof formula (mentioned here). This is part of the Star Wars line they launched when the new film came out. If I do my eyebrows I use the Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in 001 Dark Brown. I don’t use this very often as I feel it might be a tad dark but I keep it in my bag anyway.

Despite my best efforts, I normally have at least three lip items in my bag. I use the Blistex Ultra-Rich Hydration Lip Balm with SPF15. Then I normally have a nude and pink lip product and I sometimes throw in a red. For my nude color, my favorite right now is the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick in 5 Nude Thrill (review here). My pink is my Maybelline lipstick in 705 Blushing Bud (mentioned here). And my red is also a new product, the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 10 Rossetto. These are the most rotated items so I can’t promise these will still be the same next week but for now, these are my top three.

Oh, and I keep everything in this lovely blue bag from Lancome that says j’aime Paris! on it and has a girl on it that is throwing her arms up in glee. I received this bag as part of a gift with purchase a couple years ago and it’s pretty much the perfect size for my make up.
